Our team worked closely with the marketing department to understand and simplify the process the user would go through to download the software. We conducted usability testing which helped us create a process that was smooth for the end user.

Email Newsletter Design

The Canadian Public Relation Association Vancouver branch sends out bi-weekly email newsletters to their membership base. They wanted to improve the look of their publication and asked SPECTRAMEDIA to redesign the template.

Eliane Hair & Esthetics
Website Development - E-Communications Program
Project:
Eliane Hair Spa has been a longtime client of SPECTRAMEDIA's. When they first approached us, they were looking to develop a sophisticated web presence that would act as an online brochure for their hair and esthetic services. Since that time, we have also developed email and print newsletter campaigns that allows Eliane to keep in touch with their clients and inform them of upcoming events.
Results:
The website, which was recently updated, now contains an attractive Flash animation in the banner. Eliane's email and print newsletters are well received by their loyal customer-base and they have had great responses to their email invitations to events such as open houses and Xmas parties. They also enjoy the detailed reports generated with each SPECTRAMEDIA E-Communications campaign mailouts.

Embark, a new dog services business approached SPECTRAMEDIA when they were in the planning stages of starting their new venture. With only a name to go with, the client needed us to create all their marketing materials, including a new logo and colour scheme, various print materials, car decals, signage and a website.
Results:
SPECTRAMEDIA designed this dynamic website with Flash animation to showcase the client’s services. We also coordinated the writing and Search Engine Optimization of the website to help increase business via the internet.

Emma Andrews Law Firm in Vancouver contracted SPECTRAMEDIA to develop a bilingual website for her international clientele.
Results:

Vancouver Aquarium

Project:
In 1999, the Vancouver Aquarium undertook a revolutionary website project; the web broadcasting of live killer whale calls captured via hydrohone underwater in the Johnstone Strait. Juliette Schmerler, founder of SPECTRAMEDIA, worked on this fantastic project for over one year with the Aquarium staff.
The website also includes great educational content, original graphics, an e-commerce section as well as a Flash children's game.
Results:

WCS, a general and cosmetic dentistry office, moved to a new office in Vancouver's trendy Kitsilano area. To celebrate their new location, SPECTRAMEDIA was hired to create a professional group of online and print marketing pieces with their fresh branding and colour scheme.

The BC Psychological Association hired SPECTRAMEDIA to develop a brochure for a speaker event they were organizing. In addition, we revamped several of their standard froms, giving them a more polished look than the pieces they had been using previously.

Cea Swim, a new Vancouver swimwear designer needed a series of catalogues, brochures and trade show pieces for their company. Keeping the design clean and simple allowed us to best utilize the space to showcase the photos. As always, we kept the design and colours consistent with all the client's marketing.

Green & Green, a Vancouver gift basket company, hired SPECTRAMEDIA to develop a holiday flyer and mailer for their busy Christmas season. The foldout format showcases the company's most popular items - ideal for their corporate clients.

The flyer was used as a direct mail piece as well as an insert in "Business in Vancouver" magazine.

Project:
SPECTRAMEDIA designed this 36 page "Annual" to highlight the company's projects and the employees' achievements for the year. In keeping with the environmental engineering firm's dedication to the environment, we used many nature photos and printed the piece on recycled paper.
Results:
The piece was a great showcase for the Hemmera team and served as a recruitment piece for future hires.

Jeff Wiegel Leasing needed a postcard designed for a direct mail campaign. Our client wanted to use humour to grab the recipient's attention. We presented the client with several options but the sharpe was a the clear favourite!

Financial planner Teal Linde approached SPECTRAMEDIA to design a new sophisticated brochure for his firm. The brochure would be handed out at seminars and mailed to prospective clients.
Results:
The elegant design with hints of gold worked very well for the subject matter and clientele.

Our client was starting a new parenting centre offering counseling and support for new parents. Their wish was to create a brand that reflected a positive image of the connection between parent and child. They also requested a modern and "not too feminine" look so that it would appeal to both men and women.

After reviewing several design options, the client chose this logo because they liked the message of the parents walking towards the horizon. We created business cards and flyers to match the new look.
